DoLPHiN: A structural and functional database of natural polysaccharides with health benefits

Title Value
Polysaccharide SBW - 30R
Source Name Mauritia flexuosa
Weight
Main Glycosidic Bond(s)
β-Arap-(1→4)
Main Chain The main chain structure is that arabinan (Ara) connected by (1→5) is connected with rhamnogalacturonan I (RGI). RGI contains (1→4)-connected GalpA units and rhamnose pyranose units arranged alternately.
Side Chain The side chain structure is that arabinan has branches at O-2 and O-3 positions, and there may also be side chains formed by other galactose derivatives. In RGI, about 45% of rhamnose units are replaced by branched chains, and GalpA has a small number of branches at O-2 and O-3 positions.
